Developed by the IPC, in a partnership with DEEP – a Brazilian startup that develops technological solutions for identifying the social and environmental impacts from the activities of companies and organizations – this tool calculates CO2e financed emissions, using the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) methodology, for an investment portfolio considering four possible types of brazilian assets: Publicly held companies, Privately held companies, Real estate, and Project finance.

The tool developed by IPC generates emission factors that enable Scope 1 and 2 absolute emissions (tCO2eq) of Brazilian companies to be estimated. The estimate uses information disclosed to the public by more than 300 publicly held Brazilian companies and by other data sources.
